Synopsis:
TALAASH is a physiological thriller.
Inspector Shekhawat (Aamir Khan) receives a telephone call early morning informing him of a fatal car accident. Armaan Kapoor, the current reigning Bollywood star dies in the accident. The accident spot is very close to Mumbai's red light district. Strangely, the same spot has been the site of several other freak accidents in past.
Shekhawat and Roshini's (Rani Mukerji) happy married life is blown to smithereens by the death of their eight year old son, Karan in a heartrending accident. Roshini is devastated visibly while Shekhawat has shut his personal hell deep inside him.
Further investigation leads Shekhawat to a sordid through Mumbai's lively underbelly and a possible blackmail racket. He finds an ally in Rosie (Kareena Kapoor) who gives him information, which helps him pursue the case. Every time he hits a blank, she gives him clues to get around it.
This is a story of love and man's haunting personal journey to overcome the deepest loss one can face - the loss of a child!
