Bala Box Office Collection Day 9: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer puts up a good fight against Marjaavaan
Bala has witnessed a brilliant box office growth on Day 9. The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer put up a great show despite competition from Marjaavaan.
If you thought Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Marjaavaan could stop Ayushmann Khurrana from ruling the box office, you have been proven wrong. Ayushmann, along with Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam, took over the box office last week with Bala. The critically acclaimed movie ruled the first weekend and was heading to stand against Marjaavaan this weekend. And it held a steady ground.
According to Box Office India, Bala witnessed a massive jump on Saturday. The movie witnessed a growth of 75 percent on its ninth day at the box office. As a result, Bala collected Rs 6.50 crore nett on its second Saturday at the box office. The collection is merely Rs 50 lakhs lesser than Marjaavaan, which earned Rs 7 crores on Day 2. Bala currently boasts of a total box office collection of Rs 79.50 crore nett. The Sunday collections are expected to mirror if not surpass the collections of Day 9.
Bala is expected to surpass Rs 100 crore by the time it enters the third weekend. However, the site notes that Bala might not come close to the collections of Dream Girl or Badhaai Ho. However, the movie will aim at surpassing the collections of Raazi and Stree. Bala has been doing brilliantly at the box office since its release.
